Steven Eugene Jackson

Steven Eugene Jackson 56, of Fayetteville, NC, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 11, 2016. Born November 8, 1959 in Hagerstown, MD he was the son of James and Isabelle Jackson. 

Steven attended Williamsport High School, in Williamsport MD. He received his GED from Hagerstown Junior College, Hagerstown Md.  He furthered his education by receiving a certification in Heating and Air.  Steven proudly served his country as a PFC in the Army National Guard.  He served in Ft. Hood Texas.  He received an honorable discharge.

He is survived by his wife Elke Shelly Fayetteville, NC, two sons and one daughter, James L. Jackson, Jerome L Jackson, and L’Tasha G. Jackson, all from Hagerstown, MD.   His step children Johnathan McCrimmon & wife Tina Jacobs, Marcus McCrimmon & wife Brandi McCrimmon, and Timothy McCrimmon .  His parents James and Isabelle Jackson, Fayetteville, NC, his brothers Wayne V. Jackson & wife Norma J. Jackson, Hagerstown, MD, Marvin J. Jackson, Wahiawa, HI., Lloyd D. Jackson & wife Roxanne Jackson, Fayetteville, NC, and sister Melissa L Rollizo & husband Paul W. Rollizo Sr. Fayetteville, NC.  Steven had numerous nieces and nephews, 17 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by a brother Anthony D. Jackson.

Viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 15, 2016.  Funeral services will follow directly afterwards at 10:00 AM.  Services will be held at First Christian Church (Disciple of Christ), 1505 Ft. Bragg Road, Fayetteville, NC.

 Interment will be at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Steve's family church, First Christian Church, 1505 Ft Bragg Road, Fayetteville, NC 28305.  The church has set up a fund to assist the family with Steve's expenses from years of cancer treatments and rehabilitation efforts.
