Mr Thomas Leverue Folks was born January 31, 1955 in Tampa, FL to the late Oscar Folks, Sr and Eloise B. Stevens. Thomas was the sixth of seven children. In his early years he attended public schools in Hillsborough County, Tampa Florida. Tommy earned his living in pride as a Cook starting with Mirabella’s Seafood Restaurant in Tampa. When it came to cooking he considered himself to be a Master Chef.
On November 4, 1973 he was blessed with his first child, Timeetha M. Bush. He has two Grandchildren Lee Bell and Tikayla Crawford.
He was currently living in Fayetteville , NC with his daughter and grandchildren when he became ill. He departed his earthly life on November 7, 2015. Tommy was a member of New Vision Christian Church in Parkton, NC where the Rev. Bobby L. McKoy presides as Pastor.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his daughter: Timeetha Bush (Gary Williams, fiance’); two grandchildren, Lee Bell and Tikayla Crawford; two sisters, Margaret Sampson (Ishmel) and Catherine Rodriguez, and Betty who preceded in him in death; two brothers, JW Folks (Kim), Willie Folks, and Oscar Jr who preceeded him in death; sister-in-law, Julia Folks; nine nieces, Marida, Dede, Kechia, Sheena, Margaret, Kay, Derika, and Willamina; seven nephews, Ishmel Jr, Valo, Pedro, Willie, and Oscar III, Charles, Robbie and Shawn; one uncle, Melvin Burkes (Pearl); one aunt, Willie Bell Golden; a host of grandnieces, nephews, cousins; and special friends, Deacon Donald Holland, Pnut, Wilbert, Lush, Jason, and the members of New Vision Church.
