The Bible admonishes us to "keep encouraging one another and building one another up." This is especially appropriate when a family suffers the loss of a dear loved one. Such consolation is needed because of the emotional pain we experience when death comes. Just as God encourages us to provide comfort, he does the same himself through the Bible. Like your family, He has experienced the loss of loved ones. Therefore he encourages us to pour out our hearts to him. When we do that without reservation then we can experience what is mentioned at Philippians 4:6, 7. I hope that when you feel up to it you will take the time to read it. By so doing you will be comforted by your heavenly Father.

My deep condolences to the Pillot family. Although, we have never met I have lost loved ones to the pain of death. And I would like to share what helped me during those most difficult times.
It wasn't just being around family & friends. But the hope & encouragement you get from the gift that the Most High God gave to each & everyone of us, yes that is His written word the Bible (Psalms 83:18 & 2Timothy 3:16). Please, notice how God's precious son Jesus viewed death in such a gentle way. At John 11:11-14 yes he viewed death as one sleeping. And God gives us the assurance that there will be a resurrection of loved ones from the sting of death (John 5:28, 29). And He even says where they are are & where they will be (Daniel 12:2 & Psalms 37:11). May you look forward to God's promises being fulfilled (Titus 1:2).

I hope these few Scriptures were of some comfort. Please feel free to contact me or visit jw.org for more words of encouragement. Our daughter fell asleep in death and recently my precious husband of 50 years fell asleep in death also. I truly understand.

With deep sympathy,
Sissy

My sweet mother in law Anita, you are a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. We have our share of good times and our trips in ga and several separate occasions. I am thankful for having the chance to know you and be apart of your life, and you accepting me as a part of your family. It brought me great joy to my heart to know I was able to take care of you and keep you comfortable til you went to heaven. It was a real honor and it was so wonderful to be able to spend those last few days and nights with you. I know you loved all of us and it meant a lot when I asked you did you want to be here with us and you said yes..because it meant a lot to all of us , Jonathan, myself, and your 6 grandchildren were so happy to have you home..
And As bad as it hurts the day you left I knew that is where you wanted to be ..you were ready to go to your forever home.. out of pain, out of suffering, and with your mom and dad and sister. We weren't ready for you to leave and we never would have been, but god had plans for you. And I hope you knew how much you were loved, and how much you will be missed. I love you Anita.. put them angel wings on a fly high my mother in law !! I love you and Always will !! rip

Hello Pillot Family, I'm a neighbor living in Fayetteville.
Having heard of your most recent loss, I want to leave you a brief post. I too well know, the grief of losing love ones and that at times like these, it is encouraging just to know that others are thinking about us. Something that has really helped me to deal with such losses, is the wonderful promise of Christ Jesus, recorded for our comfort at John 5 : 28,29. I hope, that when you are feeling up to it, that you are going to look up these powerful Scriptures, in your copy of The Bible. Also, I hope that this brief note, finds The Family feeling as good as can be expected Today.
