David Lee Brumfield

David Lee Brumsfield, 75, died May 19, 2017 at his home after battling cancer. He was born November 6, 1941 in Bogalusa, Louisiana to Provdence Hoprincco and Helena Brumfield.

David served in the US Army in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. David returned home and began to encourage people to stay off drugs and alcohol after battling addiction himself.

David is survived by three sisters, Minnie Wabomour, Carolyn Brister and Binnie Ruth Miller, all of Louisiana; three brothers, Tommy Brumfield of Louisiana, Glenn Brumfield of California and Clifford Donnell McGee of Oklahoma; one daughter, Keisha Brumfield; and special friend, Myra Hunter; five grandchildren, Rachel Lewis, Erique Lewis, Desiree Mayes, Zamaya Mayes and Elijah Mayes; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his brother, Charles Owens of Louisiana; and his daughter, Lisa Brumfield.
                
Viewing with military honors is scheduled on Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Unity Chapel at Cliffdale (1037 Seventy First School Road, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28314).
