Domingo Rivera Ramos

Domingo Rivera Ramos, 83, of Red Springs, NC, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017. 

Born in Barrio Mamey in Patillas, Puerto Rico he lived in New York and New Jersey for over 65 years. He ministered along with his wife Celia at the Spanish Pentecostal Church in Landisville, NJ and was a chaplain for local prisons for many years. A member of the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he worked for Ancora Psychiatric Hospital and for the Hammonton Road Department. He was best known for his carpentry skills as Dom the Handyman.

Domingo is predeceased by his wife Celia Rivera, parents Eulogio Rivera and Paula Ramos, as well as siblings Damaso, Clemente, Dolores, Eusevio, Carmen Lidia Rivera and grandson Everett Joseph. He is survived by his children, Jose Antonio Seda, Roberto Aponte, Domingo, Jr.(Heidi), David Rivera, Anna Bonet–Carlino (Charles), Leticia Rivera, Debra Hernandez, Doris Ness(Allen), Aura Mays and Diane Rivera and siblings Manuel, Felix, Carmen and Francisco Rivera. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way.

Family and friends are invited to attend his graveside service Friday January 12, 2018 at 2:00pm at Greenmount Cemetery 124 S. First Road Hammonton.
