James Randolph Malcolm

James R. Malcolm, 67, died on August 24, 2017, after a short illness at the Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC. Jim was born on July 5, 1950, at King's Daughters' Hospital in Staunton, VA, the son of R. Randolph and Virginia (Cross) Malcolm. Jim is survived by two sisters, Janice Malcolm Higgins of Wake Forest, NC, Debra M. Malcolm of Seattle, WA, and one brother, Robert R. Malcolm of Seattle, WA, and two nieces, Jenea Higgins Honse of Youngsville, NC, and Jamie Higgins Rowles of Wake Forest, NC.

Jim was a resident of Oxford, NC after retiring from his long career in construction in Laurel, MD. Jim was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Staunton, VA.

Funeral services will be private. Donations can be made to Staunton-Augusta Rescue Squad.
