Judith Rae Oxendine-Glover, 73, of Hope Mills, NC, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018.
Judith (Judy as she was so loving known as) was born in Lonaconey, Md. She was a student of the Allegany County School System. Judy’s life was not an easy one but her love for people made life interesting. She did not meet a stranger and was always willing to talk to anyone and everyone. Judy’s love of education put her on the road to an Associate’s Degree from Bladen Community College, a B.A. from Fayetteville State University in Psychology, a M.A. from Fayetteville State University in Psychology. Due to unforeseen circumstances the road to her doctorate was cut off; but she did receive another M.A. in Psychology from Capella University. Judy was a member of several honor societies in English and Psychology, along with other awards.
Judy loved to read and eat at McDonald’s, but the greatest love of all was her husband Bill (Robert Glover). Judy was always willing to help anyone who needed help. She leaves so many people who loved her and her spirit. There were special people in her life that are left to cherish her memory; Fred Jones, Lynne Jones Holder, Hilda Baker, Patrick Duncan, John Chisholm, James and Ella Glover. She will be missed by three brothers-in-law; James (Ella) Glover (Hope Mills, NC), William (Alco) Sutton (Charlotte, NC), Fred (Tracy) Glover (Fayetteville, NC) and Calvin of Patterson, NJ; six sisters-in-law; Hilda Baker, Alco Sutton, Tracey Glover, Mildred Glover, Ella Glover and Clara Richardson. Judy also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral, 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 20, 2018, Unity Chapel at Cliffdale, 1037 71st School Road, Fayetteville. Burial, Rockfish Memorial Park.
