Mrs. Margaret Sampson, 71, of Fayetteville, NC., passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018.
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Margaret Battle Sampson, to know her was to love her, those around her had their heart and soul warmed by her. Born June 24, 1946 in Americus, Georgia to the late Willie Battle and Eloise Stevens. A native of Tampa, Florida, she graduated from Howard W. Blake High School. Margaret married her high school sweetheart of fifty years, Ishmel Sampson, Sr. Margaret began her career as a Budget Analyst at Fort Bragg, NC and retired in 2010 with 30 plus years of government service. While working on her career she continued to educate herself and earn her Associate in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s in Accounting and finally receiving her Master’s in Education. For many years, Margaret, a faithful and dedicated member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church, exhibited her belief in the Lord to all, young and old alike.
On April 19, 2018, Margaret departed this earthly life leaving to cherish precious memories of her with: her husband, Ishmel Sampson, Sr., Fayetteville, NC; two daughters, Delia Ray (Howard) and Marida Sampson-Carver (Jason) of Fayetteville, NC; one son, Ishmel Sampson, Jr., Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Kiana, Kyla, Anissa, and Ronald, Fayetteville, NC; one brother, Willie Folks; one sister, Catherine Rodriguez both of Tampa, FL.; brother-in-law, Douglas Sampson (Ruthie); four sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Youngblood (Clemon), Kim Folks and Julia Folks, all of Tampa, FL.; seven nieces, Margaret, Kay, Temeetha, Kechia, Shenna, Willamina and Derika; seven nephews, Charles, Robbie, Shawn, Valo, Pedro, Oscar, Jr., and Willie, Jr.; one uncle, Melvin Burkes (Pearl), GA; best friend, Brenda Davis, Tampa, FL.; three brothers and one sister preceded her in death; a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
