On Monday, November 4, 2019, Reginald Moore closed his eyes and went to sleep at
the age of 83, now resting in Jehovah’s memory and in the hearts of all those who knew and
loved him.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16th at the Kingdom
Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 10413 Ten-Ten Rd., Raleigh, NC 27603, with Leander Swann
officiating.
Reginald was born to the late Thomas Milton and Reana Meeks Moore on September
18, 1936 in Sampson County, North Carolina. He peacefully passed away at home. Reginald
graduated from Sampson High School in 1953. He was trained and worked in the tile and
flooring industry before joining the military in 1954.
Reginald was united in marriage to Sallie Marie Moore for sixty-three years. Of this
union two children were born, Kenneth Wayne Moore and Delisa Michelle McKenzie. He was
preceded in death by his mother Reana, his father Thomas, three sisters, Allie P. Caldwell,
Thelma Beamon and Lille Bell Gavin.
Reginald leaves to mourn, his wife Sallie, son, Kenneth Moore (Joann) and daughter,
Delisa (Keith) McKenzie of Raleigh, North Carolina; one granddaughter, Shawnte Nicole
Moore of Raleigh, one sister, Carolyn Jean Thornton (John) of Baltimore, MD; three brothers,
James Thomas Moore (Gwendolyn) of Woodbridge, VA, Coleman Reid Moore (Pauline) of
Baltimore, MD, Cornolius Moore (Faye) of Rocky Mount and a host of nieces and nephews.
