It is with profound sadness, yet a quiet sense of peace, that we announce the passing of our
beloved sister, Bonita Dawn Raisor. Bonita was firm in her decision that her time on earth was
complete and made her peaceful entry into heaven on April 24, 2026 with her loving niece
Breanna Card at her side.
Born on July 18, 1961 in Macon, GA, Bonita faced significant adversity and hardship from the
beginning of her life. Despite these challenges, she possessed a remarkable inner strength that
allowed her to not only endure but to find joy in small moments of kindness from others and in
helping people in her own quiet way. She was a member of Village Baptist church where her
Sunday school class, Saved to Serve, provided great support and refuge.
She was a mother, grandmother, sister and a friend whose life was not easy but whose heart
remained deeply compassionate. While we will mourn her absence, and the peace she
deserved here on earth, we take comfort in knowing she is free from physical pain and finally at
rest.
Bonita is survived by her sisters, Angel (Art) Hooper, Tricia (Andy) Flinn and her brother, Billy
(Felicia) Cox; her children, Sarah Roxanne Malloy, Torri (Micah) Gordon and Robert (Lisa) Griffin;
her grandchildren, Brandon Cooper, Jonathan Roberts, Adrein Turner, Sarah Malloy, Dino Malloy
II, Allison Griffin, Bobbi Griffin, Griffin Gordon, Chloe Griffin, and Dylann Griffin; and her great
grandchildren, Henley, Paisley and Adien; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Tammy NeSmith, and her brothers, Donald Raisor and
Scott Raisor.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 11:00 am in the Fireside Room of
Village Baptist Church.
Revelation 21:4
He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there
will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain.
All these things are gone forever.
