Ms. Carlien G. Rich, 70, of Fayetteville, NC passed away Saturday, May 23, 2026. Carlen Rich leaves behind a legacy of kindness that will never be forgotten. Carlien spent her life making sure nobody went hungry or felt unloved. She was a natural caregiver who opened her heart and kitchen to anyone in need. Whether she was cooking meals to feed the elderly and sick, welcoming all the neighborhood kids to her table, or taking in every stray animal that crossed her path, her home was a sanctuary of comfort.
To her nieces, nephews, and the local youth. She wasn't just an aunt or a neighbor she was a second mother who fiercely protected and nurtured them. Because of her inability to sit still, she was nicknamed the "Roadrunner". If she wasn't out running the roads or deep cleaning, she was at home rearranging the household furniture. She made it a personal hobby to shift the living room layout every other day. A loving tradition that drove her devoted husband of over 50 years, Wayne Rcih, absolutely crazy.
Carlien was dedicated wife, a loving sister, and a profound mother, but where she truly shone brightest was her role as an amazing Memaw. Her grand and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved them with every ounce of her big generous heart. While her absence leaves an irreplaceable void in their hearts of all who knew her. The family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace. She has transitioned into the arms of God, where she is now reunited with her beloved husband, Wayne, and other dear family members who went before her. Go rejoice and rest now momma. We love you.
She is survived by her son Bobby Lane (Tabatha) of Bearcreek, NC. Daughters: Pam Lape and Amy Hall of Fayetteville, NC. Grandchildren: Alan and Martha Acala of Sandiago CA, Booby Rich of Fay, NC.
