Chanel Maliyah Harris

Chanel M. Harris, 6 weeks, 1 day old unexpectedly gained her heavenly wings on October 27, 2022, at Duke University hospital. She was born on September 16, 2022, in Fayetteville, NC, and is the daughter of Calvin Harris and D’nea Robinson.

Chanel spent her first month in the hospital with her mom, dad, and grandparents by her side at all times. Some of Chanel’s favorite people were her nurses at Duke, as she was everyone’s favorite baby to love and fear all at the same time as she kept them on their toes around the clock. 

As many of you never got to meet our girl, those that did would say that Chanel was beyond beautiful with a head full of silky black hair, they would also say that “Cha Cha” called all the shots and was feisty, bossy and even high maintenance and loved playing by her own rules with every chance she got to let it be known. 

Chanel has truly left her mark here on earth and will be terribly missed by her family and all who got to know her. 

Chanel is survived by her parents D’nea Robinson and Calvin Harris; her sister Skylar L. Harris and her brother Kayire K. Harris; her God parents: Moses and Christina Barrows; her grandparents Charles & Alisca Robinson; Glenn & Melissa Harris; and Selina Harris.  Her great grandparents and one great-great grandmother. Her uncles: Charles Robinson Jr. (wife Krystal); Dimetri Robinson (wife Kassandra); Tayvonne Robinson; Anterio Harris; Quentin Harris; Her aunts: Sonya McLeod (husband Charlie); and Salida Harris. To conclude a host of great aunts, uncles and cousins.
