Evelyn Landonia (Melvin) Pierce

Evelyn Landonia Melvin Pierce, 76, of Hampton, VA, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm and Annie Lee Melvin; husband, Estee Pierce; son, Antwain Pierce; sisters, Joyce “Ju” and Wanda Gail Melvin; and brother, Shelton Leon Melvin.

Evelyn is survived by her sons, Estee Pierce, Jr. and Roderick “Ricky” Pierce of Hampton, VA; grandchildren, Anton Pierce, Amarie Pierce, and Branden Tyler.  Also cherishing memories of Evelyn are her siblings: Bessie Mae Bates (Thomas), Betty Jean Kornegay, James Vernon Melvin Peterson, Alonzo Melvin (Chiquita), all of Fayetteville, NC; and Vanita Boykin (Barney) of Deerfield Beach, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Evelyn was a dearly beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and mother to many.  She loved laughing, cooking and being with family.  She was known for her love of cooking and making everlasting memories with her family and friends.
