The following year, she went to the Dominican Republic to participate in Rustic Pathway’s Intro to Public Health program. These trips with Rustic Pathways ignited her love of travel and food. Jasmin would often plan trips by herself and with friends. In June 2021, she and a friend went backpacking on the west coast to the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, Sequoia National Park, Yosemite and San Francisco. Additionally, Jasmin loved music. So much that she would take solo trips to concerts such as her recent trip to Atlanta to see Kanye West and going to Lollapalooza in Chicago. Her musical tastes were extremely eclectic and ranged from Benny the Butcher to Sade to Amy Winehouse to Hiatus Kaiyote to Anderson .Paak. She enjoyed cooking, especially with her friends. Jasmin often reached out to family members for recipes such as her great-grandmother Mamie’s sweet potato pie and homemade biscuit recipes.
Jasmin was very supportive of her friends and family and was always there when her younger brother Ben needed her. Jasmin was full of life and always had an infectious smile. She easily made friends and as a result, had a huge tribe. She was a beautiful soul and who loved freely.
