Martha Carolyn (Bounds) Eaton

Martha Eaton, 88, died unexpectedly January 10, 2025 at home. She was born July 16, 1936, in Newton, Mississippi. She was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Clyde Bounds. Martha graduated from Gardner High School in Laurel, Mississippi, class of 1954. She completed a 3 year diploma RN program in 1957 and began a 50+ year career. She dedicated the majority of her career to geriatrics. She was a member of Seaside United Methodist Church. She loved animals, especially cats and dogs. She had a number of pets throughout her life.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband Paul Eaton. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Reid and her husband Shay of Keller, Texas, granddaughter Kaity and her husband Blake Davis and grandson Ryan Reid; her son, Tim Fleming and his wife Millicent of Southaven, Mississippi, granddaughter Bailey and her husband Ryan Poling and great-grandson Harrison and granddaughter Maddie Fleming; her son, Patrick Fleming and his wife Paula of Caledonia, Mississippi, grandson Dalton and his wife Emily and grandson Cole Fleming. A memorial will be held at a later time. Memorials may be made to the National Humane Society.
