Ora Lee Florence was born in DeValls Bluff, Arkansas to Money and Nadine Snow. She has 1 surviving sibling, Ella Jean Fraiser. She was proceeded in death by her husband William Florence Jr., and her siblings Money Snow, Jr., Dorothy Brown, and Naydean Swanigan. Ora Lee has lived part of her life in Arkansas, Ohio, Illinois, Tennessee and North Carolina. Everywhere she lived, she left an unforgettable mark on those around her.
Ora Lee loved Jehovah God an raised her children to love him as well. She dedicated her life to Jehovah in 1966. Her calm and caring demeaner was seen by all those who knew her. She made her biggest mark on her family. Her four children remember times when they didn't have much but could recall getting a homecooked meals every day. When no car was available, Ora Lee would take public transportation and walk with her four children to make meetings and assemblies to worship the Almighty God Jehovah. When her husband, William Florence was alive, he would often drive her to meetings when their children were grown and away with their own families. This hard work, determination, and willing spirit is what most that knew her will remember about Ora Lee Florence.
We look forward to the time when all of our loved ones "in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out" (John 5:28, 29). This was Ora Lee's hope as well. She believed the words at Isaiah 65:20 "No more will there be an infant..... who lives but a few days, nor an old man who fails to live out his days. For anyone who dies at a hundred will be considered a mere boy." Ora Lee Florence is now peacefully sleeping and in Jehovah's memory. We are all awaiting the marvelous day when we will see her again, except then, she will be young, without ailment, and smiling, wondering what took us so long to get to her.
