He is predeceased by his parents, James Cottle and Martha Jean Cottle; uncle, Joseph Peterson, two sisters, Janice Cramer and Sherry Gifford; Richard is survived by nieces, Lisa Little, Hillary Thornton, and Amber West; nephew, Ricky Thornton, Jr.; and great nephews, Jerry Paul, Jr. and Braxton Paul.
