Ronnie Wike was born to Robert Julius Wike, who predeceased his son in 2002, and Betty B. Wike on April 16, 1955. He came into this world with an identical twin, Randy Wike. The family lived in Concord where Ronnie attended elementary, middle and high school. He graduated in 1973 from Concord High School and enlisted in the United States Army on the buddy plan with Twin Randy and best friend Steve Clark.  Serving six years in the Supply field. During his enlistment he completed an Associates Degree with Embry Riddle University in Aeronautics. In 1977, Ronnie discharged from the Army as a Sergeant and decided to continue living in Fayetteville NC where he and Cherly married and raised four beautiful children.

Ronnie began his civilian career in directing tv news and found his niche as a Radio Sales Executive. He would lend his generous personality and beautiful huge smile to the sales business for more than 20 years, retiring from Beasley Broadcast in 2018. This was a turning point year for Ronnie, he married what he would term, “the love of his life” Colleen in December 2019 and took his sales expertise and explored different possibilities from selling campers to flooring.

Ronnie made many bonds with people from all walks of life. He was often described as kind, thoughtful and caring. He was a great dad and husband who put others' needs before his. Work life was a major part of who Ronnie was, however, his walk with Christ was the most important aspect of Ronnie Wike. He loved the Lord and served God at his home Church, Shiloh United Church of Christ as a trustee, Usher President, Sunday School Superintendent, choir member, Deacon and culminating into becoming a minister. Ronnie also completed an Associate of Biblical Study from North Carolina Theological Seminary Degree May 2022.

In December 2020, Ronnie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer; he knew this battle would be the most challenging of his life; he put on his whole armor of righteousness and met the battle head on. And even though his body eventually deteriorated from the Cancer, he had the victory because Ronnie’s soul was anchored in the lord;he never lost his faith in God. With his children and wife Colleen and brother Friend Steve surrounding him with love, Ronnie transitioned peacefully home on August 13, 2022 at 5:45 am.

Ronnie leaves behind his Mother he affectionately called Jeannie Beanie, his Sister Vera and Twin Brother Randy, Sister-in-Law Charmine, Sister Daphne, brothers James and Bobby and his children: Ashley, Ronnie Jr, Amber and Alyse; Daughter-in-Law Shameerah Dixon Wike, Son-in-Law, Tremaine Baker, his five grandchildren:  Kailani, Treyson, Ron-Ron, Karrie, and Anna, and his wife Colleen. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews as well as best childhood friends/brothers, church Family/Friends and so many more people he loved. “Ronnie was love”.Be A Ronnie and Love as God loves you.
