Sylvia (Milliken) Thompson

Sylvia M. Thompson, age 57 died on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at UNC Hospital Chapel Hill, NC. She was born June 23, 1961 in Wilmington, NC. She was preceded in death by both her parents, O.C. Gore and Betty Milliken. She was also preceded in death by her older brother, Donnie Thompkins. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Neil Thompson; her two children, Peggy Taylor ( husband, Greg Taylor) and Patricia Reeves; her four grandchildren, Michael Haynie; Anthony Haynie; Tiffannie Reeves and Kaylee Herring; her two special sisters, Patricia Malpass and Marie Benton, 6 brothers, many nieces and nephews, and many friends. She worked for 18 years at Oxford Laboratories as a Chemical Analyst, which she enjoyed. Her days were spent spending time with loved ones, rejoicing in the Lord, studying as much as she could and Wednesday nights feeding and nourishing the church both physically and spiritually. Sylvia never met a stranger and could talk to people for hours. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones, both family and friends. 

Memorial Service, 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 6, 2019, Union Grove Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church, 477 Livingston Chapel Road, Delco, NC.
