I was only acquainted with you for a short time. Hopefully your transition was peaceful. I miss our talks before and after dialysis and our plans to go visit that German restaurant. See you in glory.

Message from ML Haigler

Tameka was a former student of mine and a computer science major in the Math/CS Department at Bennett College. She was a very bright and intelligent student --a great logical thinker and an avid computer programmer. I would ask her, occasionally, to share her programming skills with the rest of the class. And, in her casual, laid back way, she would do just that. I was intrigued when I discovered her love of basketball and, even more so, that she had been a music major (and could sing) prior to CS. Tameka was truly gifted and smart, with a gracious and humble spirit-- truly the 'ideal Belle and student.'

To her family and friends, please know that I share in your sorrow. . . But, I am grateful to God for having met Tameka. (Revelation 21:4)

Sincerely,

ML Haigler, Assistant Professor, Computer Science

Keysha, it broke my heart to hear of Tameka's transition. I remember the good times watching you girls play basketball at WHHS. Something that Princess and I looked forward to.
Basketball was definitely a deep passion for Tameka. She will be missed.
Praying for strength and peace for the family.

You were my friend and sister, one of my closet friends. You made laugh, cry, and act silly. I will miss our talks more than anything. I love you forever , until we meet again. Rest peacefully
