Benjamin Elliott Morgan

Benjamin Elliott Morgan passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on July 28, 2015, following a courageous year-long battle with lymphoma.  He was born on January 14, 1971, in Benson, North Carolina, the son of William C. Morgan (deceased) and Joyce C. Morgan now of Henderson, NC.  He was the youngest of nine siblings - Pam, Jerry, Val, Michael, Andrea, Josh, Joel, and Merab.  Benjamin had been living, working, and studying in Pereira, Colombia, S. America since 2011 and returned to the U.S. soon after his April 2014 diagnosis.  He was pursuing a degree in international business.  Benjamin epitomized curiosity and loved nature and critters of all kinds, singing and music, American politics, and life in general.  He was smart and wise and used his English and Spanish fluency to stay connected with his countless friends.  Benjamin had a long list of nieces and nephews who often sought his advice and support and loved him immensely.  His family will miss him so much.  From an early age, Benjamin loved Christ with all his heart, and we now celebrate his resurrection to New Life.  The family extends gratitude to his doctors, nurses, care-givers, and friends, especially Didier Montoya.
